Unhappy Death from falling perch

Man Im kinda sad. I got 6 parakeet as gift. 2 males and 4 female, think they still like babies. An accident happened when I was cleaning the swing perch. They were huddling on the ground and I accidentally hit a perch beam and it fell and killed a male.  after this experience, I made sure that all birds are on perch before clearing perches so things dont fall on anyone. This ever happened to anyone?

I'm so sorry. I've never heard of this happening before. I'm going to be more careful when cleaning and moving things around in the cage. Please accept my sincerest condolences. R.I.P. little one.

That is a tragedy.
I myself have never heard of this happening to anyone. It sounds like it was truly a freak accident.
Please accept my condolences for your loss.

Ow, so sorry. I haven't heard of it, but there is no reason why it couldn't happen. It is certainly a freak accident. My condolences.

Probably it happened to someone else too but never get announced in talkbudgies. You are the 1st member who reported this fatal accident of a budgie from a fallen perch.

I know it was accidental and no fault of yours. Glad that you have taken precautions in future to prevent this recurrence.

Sorry for your loss of the male budgie. Did he had any name ?

Thats sad.
Once when my budgies were on the perch, the perch fell but they have good reflexes and quickly fly to the other perch. But I fixed the problem.

R.I.P little budgie
