I am so sorry that you had to go through that heartache, sadly it is inevitable I wish I could prevent it for all of our feathered friends & ourselves however that is impossible.

I can sympathise with you, I still cry now over my lost friends, the pain subsides but it will never go away

Remember though we will always have all those memories of the fun times, that first step up, or the first time they played with their foot toys....all those times will eventually leave you with a smile instead of tears, and Charlie is with you in spirit

R.I.P Charlie, until you meet again at rainbow bridge, fly high.

I still miss my feathered friends whom I have lost - Jimmy (2000), Pepper (2004), Salty (2005) and Charlie (2009). They will never be forgotten and I say goodnight to them all each night. Some may say Im mad but they were my babies and I will never forget them.

I have pics of them all to help remember the good times.

Your pain will ease but you will never forget.

Perhaps your little Charlie has met my 4 friends over millet rainbow. May they all RIP and have happy days together. x

There's that big word again inevitable haha what does inevitable mean. I miss Charlie so much I remember she used to chirp when I spoke to her.

We never forget them and we never should.

Our grief passes but their memory will live on in our hearts and soul.

Even though Charlie is no longer by your side, look inside your heart and he'll always be there.
She was so poorly. At the vets I spoke to her as I held her for him while he gave her the injection and said my pretty Charlie I love you pretty girl Charlie. She gave me one last chirped then went calmed down and the vet gave her the injection and her had gently fell onto my hand then I knew.

I am SO sorry for your loss I know exactly how you feel. My budgie Max became severly ill and I too rushed him to the vet. Turned out he had cancer and there was nothing the vet could do. The fact that you allowed her to go and not keep her around shows how much you loved her. Getting over something like that is very hard and it just takes time. You shouldn't "get over it" just becuase other people are ready for you to. I know for me it was just lots of time, but have you talked to anybody about it? That helped me as well.. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

I've spoken to family and friends but they say I will get over it. The pain won't go though. Charlie had a tumour. Not sure if it was canerous or not though.
