Unhappy Lost friend

Lost one of my friends yesterday unexpectedly. It's only been a short 5 months since I got little Spock, but he quickly became a treasured part of my life. I miss him already and the apartment is noticeably subdued without him. I have the videos of him that I took over the months so will be able to re-live the good memories. My parents have a good sized back yard and I chose a spot out in the open to bury him. He'll have lots of sunshine and fresh air, and I can visit him as often as I want.

I still have one tweet, Kirk, but plan on getting another one tomorrow so that she won't be lonely. They won't be together right away since I want to be sure they don't pass any bugs to each other, but at least they'll be close enough to keep each other company.

I am so sorry to hear about Spock. If you're able to talk about it; what happened to him. Especially when they go unexpectedly it's twice as hard. I know the feeling all too well.
Losing one of the little darlings is so hard. You only had him a short time but your love for him was enough to last a lifetime.
You will look at the video years from now and still get a tear in your eye.
Your grief will pass but the loving memory will go on forever.
And now the angels will care for Spock.
Fly high and free little one.

Thanks, I appreciate the sentiment. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but once the initial shock is gone I'll be able to give it some thought and figure it out.

The tweets in your sig are what Spock looked like.

Thanks for the warm thoughts ... this is the one inevitable part of having pets that I hate, but it's part of life. The sad times help us appreciate the happy times, and it's an experience that everyone can understand.

Sorry about the loss of your bird. Try to buy your next bird from a place that has a good rep for birds living a long time. Budgies have all kinds of things that go wrong with them. I have had many that didn't live too lond. Also had 2 that lived to be old birds. That good store went out of business. Am stuck with lesser quality stores now.

Sorry to hear about Spock.

Did he showed signs of sickness ? If sudden death, it could point to heart attack, or is there a sudden death syndrome for budgies especially for in-bred budgies ?

RIP Spock, and take care of yourselves, Mirage.

That's okay. Don't think any more about it. It'll be too sad for you.
So little Spock was your blue bird of happiness. I'll get better.
