Default A Rainy Day...

This morning I woke up and saw Rain at the bottom of the cage fluffed up. She had seed shells stuck to her face, and her face was wet like if she had fallen in the water face first. I knew, something was wrong! I spent the whole day as close to her as possible..

When I noticed something was wrong it was 10am. Rain just passed away, about an hour and a half ago 9:30pm. She did not last 12 hours from the time I saw her like that, till she passed! What did I miss or am missing here??? This has broken my heart, and I feel blessed all at the same time! You see, she passed away right in front of my eyes and in my hands, and for that I am blessed. I had taken Rain out of the cage and had herr with me in a warm blanky. I did not know what to do because she was so so so weak She tried eating a few times and tried to climb to a perch a few times and she just seemed way to weak for anything. She seemed so intent on fighting what ever was wrong with her and God only knows I was wishing the best for her as well.. Now, unfortunately I just saw her last breaths and her last look at me. Wow, it was like a fairwell look at me!

I Love and Miss you So!!!

Peter..

I am so sorry for your loss I had one bird die in my hands too...I know the look. Unfortunately when they are sick and hide it, they go downhill very quickly when they do show signs. Rain must have loved you very much to say goodbye. RIP Rain!

Thank you so much! I guess your right. When it comes it comes quick. I just wonder if it was my fault. Anyway thank you again.

Sorry to hear Rain had passed on. No magical spell can bring him back. But the memories Rain and you had will live on forever.

RIP Rain. Fly high and fly free to wherever you wish.

I wish it was easier... I wish you weren't upset
and that she was happy & healthy. I am sorry
to hear for your loss today, but glad to hear you
were with her, she would have felt safe having you
cradle her while she went to the rainbow bridge.

RIP Rain... Time for you to fly with the breeze <3
