I am shocked to be writing this. Theodore passed away on Saturday. He flew right into a wall and, I think, passed rather instantly. Strangely, his wings were clipped (by the breeder before I got him) and he wasn't a very strong flier. He hadn't flown into a window or the wall for a very long time. He was barely six months old. We buried him in my parents' backyard on Sunday.
A few of my favorite photos.
From the day he came home:
Snuggling with Charles:
Very best friends forever:
I have been distraught, but I think Charles is taking it much harder. He has been contact calling him all weekend and seems rather lonely.
Rest in peace, Theodore.
Rest in Peace, Theodore. -- Charles, Sabrina, and Lola
Oh my god Coco, I was so hoping this was not your Theo
I don't even know where to begin. All I can say is you gave him the best life possible while he was still with you so there should be no regrets.
Rest in peace Theo and fly free.
I am so very sorry. I can't believe it...Theo is gone.
I also think that the surviving budgie is suffering even more than we do. We lost a beloved pet, but they lost their life partner.
I feel for your Charles..and for you.
