Well again we have come on to the budgie forum and had to post in here, we seem to be having such bad luck, we lost bam bam not too long ago and buddy this year, once again we have had to say goodbye to a very much loved budgie, tippy. He was never healthy from the start and once we had him home we realised that he had splayed legs and couldnt do things the same way that the others in the flock could, but he did it just as well as the others, if not faster sometimes. He had the most character out of all the budgies, if he was pushed out the way of anything he always got his own back later on when they didnt expect it, even making sure he was the boss as he would round everyone up to go back to the cage once he was finished snooping round, he got on with every budgie and us most of the time.
when the new inside flight cage arrived and he couldnt go with the rest of the flock due to his health deteriating (sp?) he lived with his best friends kylie. even when he found ours too noisy he went to live with my mom round the corner and loved getting all the attention from her.
He was getting a bit slower and we knew he would never live as long as we had hoped, the vet said this would happen due to the irresponsible breeder we went to with a lot less budgie knowledge.
we knew he was slowing down
he was always the loudest and the funniest and the one who made us all laugh he will leave a big gap in our hearts when we try to remember him it is the times when he got so annoyed with the others and telling them off so hard that he fell off his perch to just climb back up again to carry on talking to them and waiting till it was quiet to shout at us for not getting up early enought o feed them as his appetite was huge.
Even though we knew this was coming it has hit us harder than anything, we will miss you Tippy more than you will know, but hope that you are keeping everyone in line over the rainbow bridge as you so often did here,
kev and caz xxxxxxx
