Unhappy Goodbye little Toyah

following on to my thread posted this morning(toyahs unwell) on the birds health section, i'm sad to report that little toyah died this afternoon at 3.15pm, she had suffered what we think was a series of epilectic fits. she was a 10month(approx)old lutino hen that i got from a so called breeder who was going to kill her as she had a deformed beak, here lower mandabill was sideways to her top, i gave him 10 euro and took the bird as she seemed healthy enough in every other way, after a period of quarintine she was allowed into the avairy and got to know the other birds well, she was always the most vocal and daredevil of all my birds and recently partnered up with a young cockbird called kolia. this morning it was obvious that somthing was wrong as she didnt want to leave her cage, i eventually coaxed her out,but when she tried to fly into the outdoor flight i noticed that her flight was very weak, i seperated her from the others and brought her into the house, she was unsteady on her legs and kept lolling from side to side, she also seemed to be drifting in and out of consiousness, her breathing was heavy and at around 2 45pm i took her from her cage as she had fallen from her perch and could no longer stand, i put a cushion on my lap and settilled her on it,untill she passed over, her partner has spent the day trying to find her, flying in and out of the flight and calling to her, so much so that i have had to remove their cage from the avairy and put him in a new one, he eventually settled and quietend down about 8.45pm. Toyah is the first budgie i have lost since re- starting bird keeping in june of this year and after some 30yrs break from breeding, i had forgotten how much it hurts to lose a little one, sleep well my little Toyah.

I am so sorry. I was just reading the other thread. It is not often that budgies pass away so quickly. But they hide their illnesses well.
RIP little one.

I'm so sorry Eric, you sought to rescue her and give her a home and that you did and her days with you were most probaly better than that combined before you.

*big hugs* and fly free little Toyah

Oh no. I am so sorry about Toyah. It was just this afternoon that I had read your thread about your concern for her.

It really does hurt to lose these little guys, doesn't it. That is the one part of budgie ownership I just can't bear. We are here for you if you need a shoulder to lean on.

Fly high, fly free, fly forever Toyah...

Rest in Peace. little Toyah. You gave her love, you gave her a good home, and she loved you back. She is watching over you now.
