Today Is Luna's 5th Month Of Being Gone, It Seems That I Go Through This Cycle. As you Know Luna Died Of A Liver Disease, and Today As A School Day Didn't Help At All.
It First Started When I Was In First Period English. We Are Reading The Story Of Mice And Men, In The Story On The Third Chapter, They Disscuss About Putting Candy's Dog Out Of His Misery, By Shooting Him. So Because If That We Came To Our Journal Entry Of The Day And The Topic Was Euthanasia. *Sigh* We Had To Write About A Time When We Had To Put Down An Animal To Put It Out of It's Misery...And If We Didnt Why And How We Felt... While Everyone Was Reading There's Out Loud There Was A Call "Jasmine!" It Was My Teacher, "Will You Be So Kind As To Read Your Entry Out Loud?" He Said With a Smile. "But I-i'd Rather N-not To..." I Replied "Everyone Has To Read It, Please Stand up Ms. Leiva And Read It."He Said In A Low Tone... I Hesitated. Then With Great Regret... I Stood Up. "Euthanasia," I Explained, "Is A Tough Decision To Make. The Moment You Decide is A Long Sad And Cold One." I Paused, Then Continued" In That Moment You And Your Beloved Pet Just Gaze Hopelessly At Each Other, But Sooner Or Later You Have To Stop Staring And Make A Decision." My Heart Beat Loudly,"I Had An Albino Parakeet that Lived As If She Was To Die In A Second," I Continued With A Crack In My Voice, " She Was The Fighter-Type Who You Would Never Ever Think To Be The One To Give Up Easily... 6 Months Ago..." I Said Lowering My Head, "She Was Diagnosed With A Liver Diesase, She Grew Weaker and Weaker...She Was Then Offered To Be Put To Sleep... I, Having Hope That She Would Make It Regected. On The 17th of June..." Breathing With A Shutter, " She Made A Miraculous Recovery. My Hope Had Been Restored, And Knew She Would Make It." I Stopped To Breathe To Keep Myself From Crying, And Lifted My Head, "That Same Night... I Went To Go Check On Her, What I Saw Put Me In An Irreversible Shock. She Was Struggling To Breathe And She Was Slamming Her Body Against The Cage Walls Running From One End To The Other. I Quickly Took Her Out, When I Saw The Condition Of The Poor Fragile Little Bird In My Hand," Tears Fell From My Eyes And My Voice Cracked, " I Knew She Wouldn't Make It! I Watched Her Suffer, I Heard Her Struggle, I Felt Her Weakness... And I Went Through That All Night Till 2:00 In The Morning." *Shudder* "Then I Grew Quiet, All You Could Hear Was a Weak And Low, *Tsk, Tsk* She Looked At The Wall Apathetically, Then Went Slowly And With Little Strength To The Front Of The Cage To Me. I Got Out Of My Bed And sat At My Desk To Comfort Her And I Saw The Pain She Had In Her Eyes, And It Whispered, *It's Ok, It's My Time.*, I Sat There For A Whole Hour Just Staring At Her, Her Eyes Were Like An Anesthetic For The Pain In My Heart , The Guilt, I Had Because Out Of My Own Selfishness I Kept Her Alive I Chose Not to Put Her To Sleep... But, H-Her Eyes Soothed Me... Then I Lay Back On My Bed Facing Her And Closed My Eyes, And Fell Asleep." I Looked At The Teacher And Looked At The Students And Continued Talking "I Looked In The Cage The Next Morning And My Whole World Was Crushed. She Was Dead." The Classroom Went Silent. Noone Dared To Speak Afterward, Soon After The Bell Rang And I Was The First One To Leave The Classroom, Everyone Followed After.
And Then In Biology, We Had A Lab using Livers.
So Yeah Thats How Today Went.
