I found Honey in her cage and she looked like she had suffered some form of night fright, he body was quite battered with half her cere hanging and 1 wing all bloodied. She and her partner Arnie had been together in one of the cages he is ok and I don't believe for one minute he had anything to do with it.
Sweetie, I'll never know what truly happened to you but I will always hold a place for you in my heart. This is an old picture of you but I think you look truly beautiful. Fly high my sweet one and know mummy misses you so much and always will.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die...
Aw, sorry to hear that, Debbie. Poor Honey. It must've been a terrible shock finding her like that. Damned night frights, but what can be done. It doesn't matter how good their quality of life is, they still seem prone to them. So sad. My thoughts are with you.
Debbie, you are always the one who have the most heart felt messages when forum members loose their lovelies. I hope that you can find some comfort in our messages. Honey was such a beautiful bird. I have no doubt that she lived an amazing life. I am sending you lots of hugs.
