Boo Boo fought for his life from day one. At hatch day, he was already severely deformed. He came to our lives in 2001, and right away showed us that he was special. Yes, he was deformed, and he needed help with everything, but his real specialty came from his heart.
He taught us that no matter how small and insignificant something may seem, it is the size of the heart that matters. He lived life to the fullest, loved everything and everyone, and cherished the love he received in return.
He was a great lover, leader, teacher, guide, mate, father, caretaker, and so much more. For such a small being, his existence, and his effect on us proved to be tremendous.
His last days were spent in comfort, snuggled into the softest blankets with all the care, attention, and most importantly, love that we could provide. He was happy.
And so, today, after a long day of playing with all of his new toys in his new cage, after a long adventure in the sunny outdoors, he fell asleep. While dreaming, his dream led him to heaven at 5:15 this afternoon, snuggled in my mother's hands.
He will be missed, but we know he's waiting for us on the other side, and that he's with family. A family member from the other side has made his presence known shortly before Boo Boo's passing. We believe they are together now, watching over us.
Boo Boo was 12 years old. He passed away from old age.
What a beautiful and loving tribute for your wonderful and very special BooBoo.
Every budgie would be very fortunate if they enjoyed the care, love and attention you gave to BooBoo during his time here on Earth.
I'm sure he is in heaven smiling down on you this very moment, thanking you for giving him a long and happy life.
Yes, he was loved very much, and he knew it. Now, he's reunited with his mate Snowball and his unhatched egg Christmas (laid by Snowball on Christmas Eve). He missed her so much when she passed away. And now they can watch over us together.
