Default Buster and Beyoncé

this is one of the few photos I have of my babies. We lost Buster last year after 6 or 7 wonderful years. He was a true friend. Strong, stoic and affectionate, always someone you could rely on to listen when you were upset. He had a sunny personality and was very close to the women in the house. He was initially my sister Rochelle's bird but I "adopted" him when she moved out. He was a cheeky boy who loved to preen us and feed us and sometimes make love to our jewellery! His first companion was the the "bootylicious" Beyoncé. Her body "wasn't ready for this jelly" and she got so fat that at 3 years old back in 2006 or 2007 she had to be put down. She wheezed and snored a lot and waddled everywhere and they found she had big fatty lumps inside her. She bullied poor old Buster a lot and he kept making love to her until the end (at least she had fun before she died). I still remember the way she would run up dad's leg or hide in Rochelle's hair. She used to bite us and draw blood. She would let me put funny hats on her and take photos (sadly I don't have any) and like Buster she was a great friend to me when I needed someone to talk to. Poor old Buster had to be put down last year as he was very ill. he had lost weight, was weak and running a fever and couldn't hold himself up. I'm glad he stuck with us long enough to meet Tanjiro.

Anna27 will become famous soon enough

I'm very sorry for your loss, and how sad to lose your hen after only three years. I've heard a lot of cases of budgies being diagnosed with lipomas lately, is that the same thing? In any case, I'm glad you have such happy memories of your little ones, they were obviously very loved.
