i have a pair that is breeding, the male is her bro but from another father is that okay??2nd pair it isn't really a pair, her bro from another father mated with her early in the morning, then in the afternoon her normal bro mated with her???
Line breeding, a form of inbreeding, is how people are able to get certain characteristics or mutations from a breeding pair. A downside to this is that the offspring can be more susceptible to things like cancer as there isn't enough genetic variation...
May I ask if your pairs mating is desirable? In other words, are you trying to breed them? Or they are showing an interest in breeding so you are letting them? Remember that just because they are showing an interest in it, doesn't mean that we have to allow "nature to take its course..."
Let us know more about your situation and we'll see if we can point you in the right direction. :)

You have a much higher chance of producing chicks that have deformities or die early on.
Before you even consider allowing your birds to breed you really need to do a lot of research and understand both the responsibility and possible problems.
