I would like to know what colour and mutation my budgie is and I would also like to know what other people look for in they're budgies or babies (colour, mutations, wing patterns etc) and what they think are rare mutations

Thank you for your help if anyone else knows or think other ways please say. I would also like to know what other people look for when they breed there's (colours. Mutations, wing patterns, the babies that are just different to others etc)

Hello ...Yes this is a Dom Pied.Body pattern on this type should be 50% marked and 50% base color.Opalines are bred to a body pattern as is rec pieds, clear bodies, spangles and a few others.Mixing some body patterns deters from the standard and spoils the markings it should have(if you are showing)but makes for some nice looking birds. Some of the more rares to day are crest, mottled or cream face.Clear bodies use to be but are lots around now.Finding good ones is the hard part, with good markings that the color standard originally set.
Regards

Thanks that's really interesting I'm not showing just breeding pet birds. One of mine which I though would never breed because this is the first time she's ever had babies while she's with me which is the mum to this one :) I think it was because she wasnt really able to breed because I had a spare female the was excuse language a ***** lol
