I know there is 25% change to get normal from two SF spangles,
but I should get 100% opaline from two opalines, right?
All their previous chicks were opalines.
Can we see some pictures of the parents please? Are you cage or colony breeding?
It is impossible to get a olive chick from a sky blue parent even of the other parent is an olive From this pair you should have all dark greens or cobalt blues if the dad is split for blue. Can you post a picture of the chick?
And yes you are correct, if both of the parents were opaline you would get 100% opalines, so if both parents are opaline there is a different father or mother to the chick
I think its so funny,
it is then 25% change to get normal from two SF spangles
and its 25% change to get normal from normal split opaline male
and opaline female.
and I got all that 25% package
I only got this baby from this pair.
They are on eggs again,
so cross fingers I will get more than one
chick this time
