Default I suck at this

I just picked up this little beauty from a lady who bred her budgies a few months ago. His name is Beaker, and all I can tell you is that he's a pied. lol, i'll leave it up to you guys to tell me the rest.
He's 3 months old.

The colour on his belly is almost a turqouise blue, and it's a different shade than the green on his rump. This is the best picture I could get of both colours at the same time.

I have a feeling he's heading into a molt, he looks pretty scruffy. lol

I'm pretty sure he's a he, right?

Oh, and his parents really confused me. Dad was a bright green (looked almost nean green compared to my green guy) Opaline. Mom was a regular blue budgie with a yellow face. The last thing I would assume would come from these guys would be a pied.

His sister was a Lutino.

Genetics are NOT my thing!

Don't worry, I suck at it too but he looks a lot like my Meringue who I was told is sky blue sf goldenface pied, he's just double factor dominant pied so he has less seafoam green than your beaker

Awwww, your bird is beautiful!

The more I think about it, I don't believe Beakers sister was a lutino. She looked "washed out" compared to my lutino Lemon Jelly. She looked a lot more like a creamino than anything else.
She did have red eyes. I'll post a pic of her tomorrow, see what the experts say.
Their mothers yellow face may have been passed down???... I dunno. Like I said, I suck T genetics and I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Lol

To me he looks like a sky blue, Goldenface II, recessive pied. I am guessing boy too.

If there is Yellowface then it is indeed more likely the sister is a creamino. Yellowface being a dominant gene. Dad must have been split for ino.

Disclaimer: these are guesses only, I am still learning my mutations,

Allie, the suspected Creamino was his sister, not the mother. And I can't get a pic of her! I was going to pull it off the ad that was posted on Kijiji, but it's been removed.

The more I look at pics of creaminos, the more i'm certain that this is what she was.

Back to Beaker...
I know yellow type 1 is just a yellow face.
Yellow face type 2 is when the yellow face of the bird bleeds into the body feathers after the firs molt.
help me out with what Golden face is?

Goldenface is similar to yellowface 2, but the yellow is deeper and more intense, more "golden" (and the spread can be more pronounced for that reason.)
