Half colored mutation
 
can someone plz show me how to make a half and half budgie with out showing me a chart and just tell me what i need its hard figureing out the chart (half and half meaning color split down the center of the budgie)

You mean a half-sider? Isn't that like a twin embryo that merges into one budgie, like conjoined twins? Can't breed that, it's just one of those weird things that happen sometimes when nature gets all crazy :D

Unfortunately, halfsiders can not be predicted. They are essentially a freak of nature and are extremely rare.

Allie is right, they are made when two embryos in the same egg merge together.

Yeah, you can't breed a half-sider on purpose, and it is unwise to try seeing as they can have many genetic disorders and often can't reproduce. Their internal organs can be out of alignment because their halves have different DNA, some can even be half male and half female.

Saying that, many half siders can and will have babies, but there are no guarantees because they aren't just a feather mutation. :)

I have had three in 15 years of breeding and one was found in a pet store.All three that I had were sterile.
