Default Can you help ID my colors

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I have been reading a lot! I thought I would get some advice on my pair. I thought it would be fun to breed, but that is not my only reason for getting them

First there is "Tom" when we got Tom I was told by the seller that the bird was a Male about 1 1/2 years old. After doing lots of research I think "he" is a she

Then we got Jerry, from a different breeder. He seems to be a he

I'm thinking they would make a nice pair for breeding. They seem very happy with each other, loving on each other all day. But I wanted to get your thoughts before I made the move.

I have started them on Egg food 3 weeks ago, they are in a large cage 18"x18"x30". Lots of seed, water, cuttlebone, mineral block with Iodine...

Any help on IDing their colors would be great, as well as any other help you can give

You have a gorgeous couple there!
Your female is a sky blue dominant pied budgie and your male is a yellow face type I cobalt blue dominant pied opaline budgie.

Wow thank you!

Tom (female) does have a yellow head, but nowhere else.

Jerry- that is a mouth full!

I was told by Toms seller that her markings are exceptional. Possible as a show bird. I'm not sure if I can show (I don't have papers) But I thought I would ask around here.

Thank you again for the super fast response!

It looks to me like Tom is a single factor dominant pied sky blue creamface (single factor yellowface type I). Jerry looks like a single factor dominant pied mauve opaline single factor yellowface type II.

If you bred them, the chicks would all be cobalt blue.
All the female chicks would be opaline while the male chicks would be split for opaline.
As for their colours, they should be:
- 50% will be single factor dominant pied cobalts (of those, 25% will be both yellowface type II and creamface; 25% will be yellowface type II; 25% will be creamface; and 25% will be normal).
- 25% will be double factor dominant pied cobalts (of those, 25% will be both yellowface type II and creamface; 25% will be yellowface type II; 25% will be creamface; and 25% will be normal).
- 25% will be normal cobalts (of those, 25% will be both yellowface type II and creamface; 25% will be yellowface type II; 25% will be creamface; and 25% will be normal).

I hope this makes sense! I hope I helped!
