Default What color will the chicks be?

So I really don't get budgie genetics. I don't know what color mutations my budgies would be called by, but here's a pic of Cobalt and a budgie similar to Blossom (Cobalt is the blue and black one, and Blossom is the white and blue one). I'm just wondering what their chicks would look like. Can anyone tell me? Thanks!

It looks like the male is a normal sky blue and the female is a sky blue recessive pied. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but since a white base is recessive, you should have 100% sky blue chicks.

Depending on whether or not your male is split for recessive pied, you could get either 50% normal and 50% recessive pied or 100% split for recessive pied.

Cute pair!

Thanks for the help! So either they'll look just like the male or just like the female? Or grandparents (I have no idea what they looked like lol)?

I think it depends on whether or not the color/mutation in question is a dominant or recessive. For a gene to be dominant, it can show the trait and also carry a second one (for example, a yellow bird can be yellow, yet split to blue). Since a white base (blue) bird is a recessive trait, I don't think it can "carry" the dominant yellow base along with it without being visibly yellow, if that makes sense.
