I was starting to think that cricket is a mauve. her colors are more of a lavander color instead of a skyblue. the pictures and lighting dont do her justice.

OH mauve is one of my favourite mutations, I love them all but violet and mauve just that little bit more.

Ya, i just happened to pass by the cage and got a really good look @ her and shes more of a lavander color then a skyblue.

hey cathy can i ask you a question.

When would you recommend doing a wing clipping? The reason i ask is because its almost time to clip the adults wings again. and the chicks well they've been flying for about a week now (which is great) but it gets a little out of control when its time to clean cages. i end up with 7 birds flying around my house. although my 1 year old son finds it entertainig to watch mom run around trying to catch them to put them back in their cages, im almost 8months pregnant and end up being so exhausted afterwards. and its normally the chicks that start the caos. they are 8 & 7 weeks old. should i wait till their first molt?
