So when i was in the petshop i saw a grey budgie, not a hint of blue at all.Are grey budgies rare? i feel very inclined to get this beautiful budgie because it reminds me of the deep grey color of an African grey. But if the color is common i will wait.I dont have a photo of the actual bird but i found a photo online that is pretty close.Whats your opinion?
They are not extremely rare, but definitely not as common as the typical blue and green variants. Here's my pride and joy grey Princess Sheryl

I always seem to see more grey budgies in the English type rather than the Normal/Pet types. I have a grey hen, but she is also SF Violet, so she has a slight blue-ish colour on her neck...
Greys are extremely common in English but less common in pet types. Probably because it's not as aesthetically pleasing as bright blues and greens, people are less likely to purposely breed them as pets. Show budgies are often less about the pretty and more about simple beauty and the regal way they hold themselves.
