Default Is my budgie clearwing?

Hi all, I asked about my budgie before, but I cant find the answer

I have been looking and reading about mutations
and I just cant get it with clearwings, greywings and dilutes

My budgie reminds me of dilute bird, but his cheeks are too dark for that.
But his body is too light colored for greywing but his tail is like a clearwing

So what is he?

I am gonna pair him with a skyblue opaline sf spangle very soon,
they have been bonding all winter so now its the time, finally!
What will I possibly get??

He's gorgeous!!!! What a beauty

His cheek patches are very dark, how interesting. His body color is so diluted however I don't think he could possibly be a Clearwing. I would guess Greywing Some of my Greywings have tails like that too but my Clearwings are bright all over.

If you paired him with a sky spangle opaline you'd get sf violet opaline cobalts and skys, half normals and half spangles, split for greywing.

Yes. He looks like a df violet so all his babies would be sf violet unless the hen has a violet factor too.

Good luck getting some more pretty babies!!

So he is df violet skyblue greywing?

I knew he was violet but wasnt sure about the rest.
No the hen is plain skyblue.
Now I am so excited
Violet is my fav color and their babies will be my first violets.
Tomorrow I will buy a nice and cozy breeding box for her
and cross my fingers for healthy eggs

I think he's violet cobalt, visually purple budgies are usually cobalt, not sky. I'm not 100% on that though.

Can't wait for an update on your pair

Full Body Colour Greywing Cobalt with Violet(df)

In other words it is Greywing Split to Clearwing
Greywing and Clearwing is co-dominant and hence the dilution in the body colour.

Just my opinion... because it has dilution in the body colour
