Default Grey violet spangle?

Hi all!

I am planing to put together a pair this summer.
Late July or something..

What I have been wondering is, can I have a violet grey spangle budgie?
I have been searching the internet but I havent found a picture.

This is my pair.

What will they give me/produce?
They are two of my fav budgies and I am excited for this

he is opaline greywing grey sf spangle ( If I remember correctly)

and she is opaline cobalt df violet sf spangle.

Maybe I'm just blind but I don't see any markings on the cock. Looks like a double factor spangle to me.

the feathers are too shiny. i see some Grey on the edge of the feathers but there is too much dilution. Is it possible it is a Dilute? I think the photo is too bright and the budgie actually has Grey Diluted Opaline body.
Either way it doesn't matter, because the female spangle has black which suppresses the Greywing and Dilute mutation.

My opinion is that you will get:

Dad: grey(sf) blue dilute spangle(sf) opaline
Mom: green spangle(sf) opaline ---> if in case mom is also Split to Blue genes you will also get white based of the following mutations
Babies:
12.50% 1.0 grey(sf) green spangle(df) opaline
12.50% 1.0 grey(sf) green opaline
25.00% 1.0 grey(sf) green spangle(sf) opaline
12.50% 1.0 green spangle(df) opaline
12.50% 1.0 green opaline
25.00% 1.0 green spangle(sf) opaline

Spangle (df) means they will be completely yellow.

i think i'm correct, if i am wrong please correct me. I do mistakes sometimes. Have in mind these are Visual genes and have not written the Split genes babies will have.

The mama bird is blue though, not green

I'd love to see a more natural pic of the cock. If he's a dilute I'll be right there to budgienap him. They are my favourite mutation

lol, you are not blind, he got almost no markings, but his grandfather is a greywing sf spangle split opaline and grandma is skyblue sf spangle opaline.
His father is yellow DF spangle and his mom is a normal grey opaline.
I actiually dont know where the dilute comes from if he is dilute?

Thank you

here is not so shiny picture of him.
There he is with his best friend.
Funny they are friends because they were suppose to be
a pair! but he turned out to be a male, not a girl when he was just a baby.

Ok now I can see him clearly a dilute grey would be much lighter than that so you were right the first time. It's amazing how different he looks in the second picture!

expected chicks:

6.25% grey(sf) violet(sf) spangle(df) opaline /greywing
6.25% grey(sf) violet(sf) opaline /greywing
12.5% grey(sf) violet(sf) spangle(sf) opaline /greywing
6.25% sky violet(sf) spangle(df) opaline /greywing
6.25% sky violet(sf) opaline /greywing
12.5% sky violet(sf) spangle(sf) opaline /greywing
6.25% grey(sf) (1 dark factor) violet(sf) spangle(df) opaline /greywing
6.25% grey(sf) violet(sf) opaline /greywing
12.5% grey(sf) violet(sf) spangle(sf) opaline /greywing
6.25% cobalt violet(sf) spangle(df) opaline /greywing
6.25% cobalt violet(sf) opaline /greywing
12.5% cobalt violet(sf) spangle(sf) opaline /greywing

Thank you

But what I find confusing, why is he also greywing,
like his grandfather?
His father is only split greywing.
So his mom have to be split for it also that makes more sense right?

If he is a greywing, then yes, she'd have to be split for greywing, dilute or clearwing even.

Does he have any black lines on his wings?
In the picture it looks like he doesn't but some opaline spangles have almost no markings on their wings and that doesn't make them greywings. It's also hard to tell dilution in grey budgies, especially from pictures.
