What do you guys think? The baby has bright white down (dad is split to opaline for sure) and grey tailfeathers coming in. Wings are also fully grey and besides the tips of the quills that look a bit lighter, but not white. I don't see any blue shade yet.
Mom is grey and I know that dad is split to greywing, so mom would need to be split to dilute, greywing or clearwing. But none of this seems impossible and for me, the baby just looks like it's grey all over.
Hmm... Now she actually looks quite blue on my screen too. But that's something the camera/computer does and the shade is pale grey live. Even though I took the picture under a full spectrum daylight it somehow looks more blue than it is. I had a blue shirt on while photographing the baby and that might cause some reflection?
It still looks very grey. Not at all like her older sibling who has very dark markings.
But there is white visible with the grey in the wings which would suggest non-opaline even though the white down should mean opaline? Overall the colors are grey and white OR very pale grey. Pale grey would make more sense as greywings have diluted body color, but I'm not sure it would be _that_ pale, since the baby has to have at least one dark factor.
