Here are some pics of what looks like a violet opaline greywing. I fluked him from a nest with 2 normal/opaline violet parents. out of 10 bubs, 2 clutches he came, the only greywing. He doesn't appear as a full bodied greywing as the violet is washed out somewhat compared to his normal nest mates.
hope you like the pics.
and PS: Lindsay, you are quite welcome to use these pics for your web site if you like.
He came down from Heaven unto this earth below
He came down from glory and praises untold
He came down to man fashioned in their way
He came down to rescue, He came down to save

I think your handsome boy can go as FBC, because his body color is not that wash out as many diluted birds. I have noticed with all CW and GW, its super hard to get pure color as you might see in normals, so it will be always some dilution.

He's really beautiful. I've never seen a cere that color
He looks like he has a little chip taken out of his beak in one of the photos. Is this common in baby birds? (My Sammy had one as well when he was housed with a dominant male chick, and they were immediately separated. His beak grew out without problems.)
