I'm new so I hope I'm posting correctly. I just got a new budgie and I'm not sure which mutation it has. I think he's (I'm not sure about gender) very beautiful and am head of heels for this one. I attached some pictures that I hope can be seen and I hope they are good enough. He's very calm, doesn't bite, and will eat out of my hand but he won't let me take a picture from behind.
So to create the greywing color, he had to have a copy from both parents right? I'm guessing this is a recessive gene due to the fact that I've never seen it before. Does this mean that a budgie can be a carrier without displaying the visual mutation?
