Default What Mutation is This?

Hi everyone,

I'm new so I hope I'm posting correctly. I just got a new budgie and I'm not sure which mutation it has. I think he's (I'm not sure about gender) very beautiful and am head of heels for this one. I attached some pictures that I hope can be seen and I hope they are good enough. He's very calm, doesn't bite, and will eat out of my hand but he won't let me take a picture from behind.

Thanks for the help!

He's an adorable grey greywing!

I don't think he's FBC (full body color) greywing; I think his grey body color is diluted and thus his mutation is just "greywing."

Agreed to Susan, with FBC he would have solid grey color and his color is washed out. Also agreed with the rest of the gang, he is such a cutie. Great find!

IMHO, he's too dark for dilute. Here's my cobalt dilute.

Greywing does dilute body color, but not as much as the dilute mutation. https://www.cutelittlebirdiesaviary.c...nd-dilute.html

Thanks everyone!
So to create the greywing color, he had to have a copy from both parents right? I'm guessing this is a recessive gene due to the fact that I've never seen it before. Does this mean that a budgie can be a carrier without displaying the visual mutation?
