Default New chick, colour question

I have two very sweet budgies in my aviary who are currently starting a family. They used to belong to my nan who adored them but sadly she passed away last year and as i already own birds they were placed in my care.

Despite the first two nests of eggs being infertile they have finally succeeded.

Chick 1 is now approx two weeks old and i wondered if anyone can predict (or completely guess!) what colour it may become. (other chicks still pink!)

Here is the chick

and here is dad and mom, aka Peter and Lucy

You have an adorable little chick there! It looks like he/she got the grey gene from dad from the little color showing through so far, and the sf yellowface II and sf dominant pied like mom.

Grey Budgies - ************* Cute Little Birdies Aviary
Yellowface II (Single Factor) Budgies - ************* Cute Little Birdies Aviary
Dominant Pied (Single Factor) Budgies - ************* Cute Little Birdies Aviary

If you post another picture as the little one feathers up we will be able to tell you for sure

Peter is Grey.

Good luck with the chick and feed momma and daddy alot of millet and hard boiled eggs with their usual seeds.
They also need veggies, like fennel, beets, kale, alfa alfa, parlsey and more veggie friendly veggies

thanks.

dont worry, the aviary gets a quality seed mix, egg food, millet sprays and cuttlefsh as standard. Everyday they also get a variety of freshly chopped fruit and vegetables, Peter is mad keen on celery.

My main passion is Kakarikis which i breed and occasionally hand rear but i've not had budgies before and it's been lovely watching the pair interact.
They're the only birds that have names (obviously my nan named them) and the whole extended family is excited about baby Florence, lol, no pressure then!
