haha cute pic!

he appears to be a diluted sky blue opaline. i am not sure how to tell if he is a grey wing or lace wing, i have never been able to tell. but looking at the diluted colors, i would say that he is diluted. the lack of bars on the back of the head is from the opaline. the diluted factor makes them even more faded

as you can see on my opalines, the bars are faded

baby bird is a diluted sky blue dominant pied

Do you think you can take a picture in natural light without flash? That'd help in figuring out his mutation!

Judging from your picture though, he looks to me like a sky blue, opaline, full body color greywing .

Ahh. He could either be a sky blue opaline greywing or possibly cobalt opaline dilute. What color are his cheek patches?
Greywings typically have greyish blue cheek patches while Dilutes have pale blue, almost white cheek patches.

The cheek patch is the violet and clear splotch on his cheek.

He is lovely!

Thank you. He has started moulting and I have noticed that his wings now have bits of blue coming through the white.
