Default Chick Outcomes

I was just wondering what the chick outcomes may be for my lovely couple. While I know there's obviously no way to know for sure until they're hatched, I'd like to see what you guys think.

I believe that they are both opaline, so I'm expecting opaline chicks, and if I'm not mistaken, unless she's split for blue, they will have green chicks. But, I'm really not too good at this mutation thing yet, so these are mere guesses.

Anyway, here are mom and dad!

Thanks so much in advance!

Hello I love genetics questions!!
Anyway, since normal green is dominant to normal blue, most of the chicks will probably be green. Two Opalines means that the chicks will all be Opaline, like you said. She could be split for blue since green is dominant, so you're right there, too. Out of a clutch of 5 eggs, I would say that either all or most would be green. Of course, there will probably be different shades of green. There may be a blue mixed in there, though!
Do you know Pepper and Lyla's lineage? They may have hidden traits!

She is very cute! And dad is sweet too!
Sorry, no expert on genetics but from what I know your accession, I think, would be correct

Thank you for your fast responses! We're quite fond of them ourselves! We are only keeping the 3 eggs that are fertile. You can find their breeding journal here https://talkbudgies.com/breeding-jour...pper-lyla.html
This way you know the full story behind this beautiful couple. I hope she's split for blue, although it's ok if she's not!

I would love still to hear other opinions.

I agree with the above, all light green or skyblue opalines but you may well get surprises like cinnamon or ino if the dad is split.

That would be cool if he was split for cinnamon or ino...those would make for some interesting chicks.
