Default Probably the most beautiful mutation I've ever seen, but don't know what it is called

There's a breeder who I love, and she has this beautiful girl. I cant figure out what mutation it is! The breeder loves greywings and yellowfaces, if that helps. Hmm.. I'm so deeply in love with this girl. I'm considering requesting her to hold off one if she breeds one, but I need to know the mutation. Thank you in advance

Wow, what a lovely girl, I am not even going to try as I am hopeless at mutations but I do know she is indeed stunning.

She is indeed a beautiful budgie! However, she is not a visual greywing, she appears to be a single factor golden face sky blue opaline budgie.
If she were to have greywing mixed in there, she would be a rainbow budgie.

Are you sure? Thinking of the colour on the flight feathers, she looks like a greywing to me. Anyway, thanks! That does seem to make sense. Thank you

You're most welcome!
Yes, I am sure. That budgie girl has darker markings and is not a greywing.
I have bred many greywings and in fact I currently have quite a few greywing budgies I got from my pairs. My Tito Junior, Dinda and Luigi are all greywings.

Here is an example of a greywing budgie. You can see Luigi's markings on the wings and his barring on the head is not black in colour and is more faint. The cheek patches are also lighter in colour, more of a light silvery blue tone.

I have an opaline greywing myself, and yes I could see that the markings on her back was not typical of a greywing, but the flight feathers makes me so confused.. Do you know where the grey comes from? Thank you for the lovely picture btw

It's not a grey gene per say, I think it's just mutation that makes the overall colours and markings to be more lighter and faint in colour.

Do you mean your Melvin? If you look at his cheek patches, you will notice his are dark blue, he also doesn't have body colour dilution. Your Melvin is not a greywing, he is a full body greywing budgie (which is even a more beautiful combination in my humble opinion) and you are right, he is also opaline.

Here is another bonus pic. My Dinda besides being a greywing is also an opaline.
You can see her sky blue colour is diluted to a very faint blue almost white and her cheek patches are also light blue in colour.

No, she is not. I'm almost certain I gave you the correct colour mutation on her.
My only doubt would be her shade of colour, either sky blue or cobalt. But from what I'm seeing I think she is sky blue in colour.
