Default Mutation and Genetics help Please.

Hi all
I have this two budgies I bought at two different pet store in Southern California in two weeks apart . I had never seen a budgie with spots all over it's body and the rump too. They are very young , no more then three month old. Does anyone seen this type of budgies before ? And could this be a new mutation?
The Green one is a male with Blue spots and the Blue one is a female Opaline with blue spots .

Thanks
Vincent

maybe bad food when they were in the nest.
you know, too little nutrients, then their feathers dont grow normally

thats my thought.

I agree with Elma and Arif, it looks like stress barring to me as well.

When babies either lack essential nutrients to grow their feathers, or they are very stressed when growing up (such as in a colony breeding situation, or with an abusive mother) the feathers show it with poor growth and pigment problems.

If you get these two little cuties on a good diet they should get new and healthy looking feathers with their first molt
