I think he is an opaline budgie from what I have read, but not sure about his colour - is he green? Near his tail he has some yellow feathers and some that are sea green. What do you think?

He looks like a dark green opaline to me! So pretty! The yellow and blue/green tail feathers are normal on green series birds.

Violet is a color-adding factor.

Not sure your male is violet -- but he does look a bit darker than mine.
