I've been reading all the posts about mutations, and it would be really cool to also know what Jakob is. When I was a young kid and we picked up my first budgie, it was a choice between blue or green, and I remember my grandmother eventually getting one that was all yellow.
Jakob was given to me as a present after my previous budgie passed away much too soon. It was no a surprise, but a friend picked the budgie and brought it home. The text I received was "it's a yellow budgie with black spots"
You can possible imagine what I thought the bird looked like - I consider Jakob more green than yellow!
So what's the more accurate way of describing her?
It's hard to ever see in pictures, but she's got a few very dark wing feathers. She hasn't lost any of them yet, so I don't have any pictures. Her longest tail feathers (she's got two) are yellow.
Thanks in advance for any help!
