Thank you all!
She is indeed a beautiful girlie, and has been very brave yesterday with our first taming session ending with her perching on my hand to eat supper (she has been in an aviary while in the shop and isn't used to being handled).
I have trimmed her flight feathers to keep her safe while she tames down and gets used to the home environment. She did wake last night with a night fright and of course rather than flying around the cage she dropped to the bottom and panicked
It made me feel very guilty but she calmed down soon when I took her out. Just have to keep reminding myself it is for her safety and they will grow back soon enough!
Thanks to StarlingWings' great suggestions, her name has been settled on Kalani. That way if 'she' turns out to be a 'he' then we can call him Kal
I have tried those links FaeryBee, thank you. Still seems unsure of whether she could be a coalface or just a striking opaline as milipidi suggests - either way I'm really glad I ended up bringing her home now. She will be a very loved and spoilt birdie
Another great thing of bringing her home is that I've had to move her into the turquoisine's cage, which means the turquoisines have had a lovely upgrade into a huge flight cage
I do have more photos but can't connect my camera phone to the internet at the moment, will do so asap .
