Default Gray or Blue?

One of my oldest chicks. Thought he was a blue but I'm starting to think a possible gray?

Dad is regular green and mom is blue.

If neither parent is grey, then the baby is blue. Grey is a dominant gene so it cannot be hidden, thus one of the parents must be grey in order to get a grey chick.

As said already, unless a parent is grey you can't get a grey chick. So, are you sure the Dad isn't grey green? Take a look at the feathers opening by the tail, they should show body colour pretty soon.

I'm pretty sure Jack is just your regular old green. Here are the parents.

You are right, neither of those grey, so your baby will be blue.

Blue is great with me I've had three clutches before these and all green! My Ebe (In my profile) is THE sweetest bird and my only tame and talking bird. So I have nothing against green birds Thanks for the help!
