Default Lemondrop and Coconut

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I'm not overly happy with the lighting in the pics but I did the best I could. These 2 are not human friendly birds...very skittish but I'm working with them. We got them both from Petco...Lemondrop (the yellow one) in March or April of 2014 and Coconut (the green one) in September of 2014. So I don't know their ages other than Lemondrop has to be over a year old....have no idea on Coconut. When I got Coconut, I asked them if she was male or female and the lady who knew what she was doing told me she's not allowed to tell us. Not even a hint. SO...I brought her home anyways. Well...I'm pretty certain that Coconut is a GIRL. Has the brown cere. I'm pretty certain Lemondrop is a boy. What color type are they (other than obvious yellow and obvious green)? Thanks in advance. :-0 (I DID forget to turn off my flash for one pic...but the rest I didn't use a flash)

Coconut does indeed appear to be a pretty little girl! I think she's a dark green opaline.
Lemondrop looks like a recessive pied light green
Those are my guesses, let's see what others say!

Thats why I figued recessive pied, it usually leaves only a few spots of body color. He is very pretty, I love how much the yellow stands out on his body!

Any ideas on what I would get if I bred Lemondrop with this girl?

Or Coconut with this boy?

I haven't bred Coconut and Lemondrop yet so not sure what that combo will give either....I've only bred Spaz and Blue (the white/blue one with the blue one lol) now I feel like I'm rambling. Trying not to be confusing.

Well, Coconut x Spaz will give you all opaline chicks, for sure, since Spaz is split opaline and Coconut is opaline. Color-wise, green is always dominant to blue. Recessive pied is always recessive.

Lemondrop x Blue will give you all normal chicks for sure unless Lemondrop is split opaline, which you don't really know until you breed him. Same recessive pied thing:

Since the recessive pied gene needs two copies to be visual, all the chicks for both sets of parents (since Spaz is rec. pied in one pair and Lemondrop is rec. pied in the other) will be split for recessive pied, but none of them will be visually rec. pied.
Does that help?
