Default Pics for mutations experts

When I saw these Budgies, and the owner told me the sexes and that one is albino, I told her hmm... maybe not lol. She let me post pics of her birds here for the mutation experts

First, is Lemon a light green greywing, or something else? Back looks darker than greywing, or does it not? Look at the very dark beak.
So from the last thread https://talkbudgies.com/sexing-budgie...t-curious.html you said it was a female. Thanks .

Next is Snow... When Snow was younger, she said 'he' was all white with red eyes, so she thought he was albino. Now at about 1 1/2 years old, there are very light markings. There is an eye ring, and she says the eyes are red (though they don't look like it in the pics). Is it a lacwewing or what? What sex? She has been told twice that this is a boy.

Next is the QUEEN!... Quigley has laid eggs, plus the cere, so no doubt female lol. What is the mutation? My guess is dominant pied sky blue opaline.

One pic here just for fun... Look at those facial expressions!

Thanks so much guys! The owner and I are anxious to hear what you have to say .

Those sound all correct. Greywing hen, Albino cock (if the cere is pinky purple like the first photo), and Dom Pied Opaline hen!

A Lacewing should have pale violet cheek patches, unless there is pied, spangle or some such thing altering them and we would need clearer pics of the wings to see that. It does seem a heavy marking for an Albino but if the other features line up then it is likely and Albino with markings showing.

I'm far from being an expert on mutations, but will give my guesses.
The first budgie is without a doubt a light green greywing budgie, she's undeniably a female.

The second budgie is a boy, the cere has a pinkish colour and he is already an adult. I'm not entirely sure on this one, but I think he is a lacewing budgie. Doesn't look like an albino to me at all.

The third budgie is a sky blue dominant pied opaline budgie.

How interesting Toni. I do recall now that you said it, lacewings with lavender cheek patches. I wonder how often inos have markings showing? What part of the wings or markings do you specifically need pics of to tell further? I'm interested to know if he's a lacewing with another mutation making the cheek patches white.

Thanks aluz, what would a female look like in the white one? If not in breeding condition, wouldn't they look the same?

All females regardless of colour mutations will have the dark brown ceres when in breeding condition and the creamy white with some faint light blue on the edges of the cere when not in condition.

Could be a pied lacewing?

Never seen a albino with markings other than with suffusion showing, but not with markings.

I agree with you Elma, I have bred many albinos in the past and and kept a fair share in my own flock, so I'm very familiar with how they look.

If we could have full length photos with the tail, and maybe from behind so we can see the markings in 'context'? I have seen markings that show up more in some photos than in real life also. But it could well be a Lacewing with another variety affecting it, making the markings paler than usual.

Okay, I'll ask for full body back pics. I think I have one in the iPad but it might be blurry. Stay tuned... and thanks for the help. It would be very interesting to see most likely what his "full" mutation is!
