Default What's Clouds mutation then?

I must have spent too much time on the forum because I seem to experience a compelling urge to know what mutation Clouds is.

Our son did not choose him for his colour. It was more like love at first sight. I know this because Téo's tastes normally fall in the garish category. The fact that he was so adamant that this particular bird was his budgie when he was surrounded by the most variegated specimens is a sure signe that something went on between the two on that day.

Anyway, after reading all those posts on mutations, I really want to know what lovely and mysterious words you guys are going to use to describe Clouds

(And if you end up telling me that he's just a plain old grey English budgie that's okay, we won't love him any less).

Right first time! Grey Normal. Though I wouldn't call him plain at all he is a real beauty! Greys are one of my favourites, I love the black, white and grey contrast.

Is the line along the base of his cere okay? It's not scaley mites starting is it?

Hi Toni and thank your for your reply.

I love plain old grey. From all the incomprehensible posts I'm reading on this forum it looks like 'grey normal' is actually more unusual than the bizarre mixes everyone seems to get

Yes, Clouds had an early case of scaly face mites and we're going to do the third (hopefully last) application of the medecine tonight. Good spotting!

Your Clouds is such a beautiful bird. I hope he waves goodbye to the scaley mites very soon

Me too! I don't seem to see any progress one way or another. He wasn't too chuffed about being grabbed in a tea towel again tonight but it wasn't too bad. I can still see the pink patches on the underside of his feet. Will go back to the vet if need be.

Thank you for the nice comment
I feel the same as you I think: Even though I am quite amazed by the knowledge and skills of our mutation experts, I just find them all pretty (Clouds being just that little bit prettier of course)

He certainly doesn't seem to believe that he is just a grey commoner!

There is absolutely nothing "plain" about Clouds!
He is a stunningly handsome budgie.

The last picture you posted is incredible -- you could use it as a greeting card and it would be an awesome signature picture.

You're too kind. He's an easy model. However, I will have to make sure that he never ever hears any of your comments - he takes himself so seriously already
