He's also beautiful!

I'm english too, I have to disagree. We're EXACTLY like that. Including a fanatical obsession with tea and talking about weather. (If your budgie shares this, there's no doubt)

Amber, you missed feeling the need to queue and not only hating everyone who is not English but also the rest of the English too!!

He is a beautiful boy Viki, very handsome indeed! Definitely more than a few English budgie genes in there!

I am really sorry if you felt offended by my little joke.

However when you say 'no one' I must beg to differ for the sake of statistical accuracy. I lived in England for years and have been a first hand witness of all of the above every Friday night

The father of my son and love of my life is English as well. He doesn't do any of those things otherwise we would be on the brink of separation rather than about to get married. Just to check I have just polled him. 100% of him agreed with my humorous statement.

(Please take note that this post is written in a humorous tone as well, although my apology for any offence caused is sincere. One thing that I have always loved about the English is their wicked sense of humour.)

Haha you are referring to southern England, the real English are born and bred in the North - we do not speak with plums in our mouths (!!!) definitely do not drink warm beer. May have a stiff upper lip but wouldn't consider stripping off in the street!!!

No offence taken by Digby and me glad - to hear you like our wicked sense of humour - we certainly like to think we have one!!

Viki --

Although many have decided to debate the attributes of the English people (and Americans as well) rather than those of the English/Show vs American/Pet budgies . . .
I dare say the majority of posters have agreed that Charles has more than a bit of "English" in him!

the genes are all the same except some folks decided to mess with the creators
original vision and call for more and bigger spots, and head blow etc. More is not always better. Your young man has that eye that says he knows and what we think is not bothering him. YAY!! Budgies rule!!!! Best wishes, Jo Ann
