Default Help me choose...

soooo i want to choose a female for Dylan! Should it be Now and a Young one or an Adult female when he is older? Also will it be better a blue opaline? Or any other mutation? I know i want opaline male chicks! And i love pied budgies! Só maybe a opaline pied girl? Or will all females chicks will be opaline? In that case how do i get male opaline chicks?

I think since he is a young fellow that you should get a young hen now.
Don't forget about quarantine, and don't forget to post pic's here...

I don't think anyone can predict how two adult bird's being introduced will turn out. I think they certainly have a better chance of becoming bonded if they start out together as youngster's...

Quarantine is a minimum of 4 week's, 6 week's is better...

I agree with Randy. If you really want to get Dylan a companion, it's best to get a young one as it would be easier for your to bond and tame her while she is younger and during quarantine you can get to know her personality and follow most of the growth stages till adulthood and after it.
When getting an adult budgie, in a way it's a gamble because you don't really know the background history, you don't know if there are issues in terms of behaviour. With a young budgie, you will be able to have a closer look and have a positive impact and better control while the little one grows up.
