Default Baby Mutation guesses

It's everyone's favourite game! "Guess that baby Mutation!"

I have 4 babies, and a million pictures, so we'll start this thread with baby #1 and I'll post other threads for baby 2-4.

First, the parents, so we know what we are working with.

Bandit - Mauve, opaline, Cinnamon, Rec. Pied

Tango - Blue, Goldenface 1, Opaline, Spangle, split for Rec. Pied.

Guesses on Sex are also appreciated.

This is Baby #1, which really does have me stumped. These pictures were taken in natural light, no flash, and no adjustments made to the pics after uploading them. He (she?) seems to be really diluted, and there are no really defined markings, everything just blurs together.

Default Chick #2 Guesses

This is chick #2 from Bandit and Tango's clutch.

I'm confused on this one because to me, it looks like this chick is greywing?? I dunno, I'm probably way off, because neither parent is greywing.

Default Chick #3 and #4

I think these chicks are the easy ones to guess.

Blue, Opaline, Rec. Pied
Chick #4 might also be spangle.

Chick #3

Chick #4

Is the tail dirty, or really yellow?.. Can't tell for sure in the pics. I'd say definitely spangle, recessive pied... other than that, can't tell for sure. and I'd say he's a boy.

Oh sorry! I meant to put in the original post to ignore the yellow tail. It's just dirty from being in the nest box.

To me, chick 1 seems to be a cobalt violet recessive pied opaline, I'm only able to tell these traits, but surely there are more.
It's possible it is a female, but time will tell.

Chick 2 has a very interesting colouring, this one has quite a pinkish cere already, making me believe it's a boy. He seems to be a yellow based chick, but since both parents are white based that wouldn't be possible unless the mother has mated with another male.
He looks more like a full body colour greywing to me.

Chicks 3 and 4 I agree are recessive pieds and seem to also be cobalt violet in colour. Gender will be easier to tell in a couple weeks time. Number 3 can be a boy, but it's soon to tell with accuracy.

It's the Goldenface that's making him look like a yellow based chick. There's no way that mom could have mated with anyone else, Tango is my only breeding male, and they were placed into a breeding cage together a couple of weeks before she laid eggs.

Is it possible to get a greywing without it showing in the parents?

Aha, just did some reading on Lindsey's website.

The greywing gene can be split in both males and females. So if both parents are split for greywing, then their chicks could show up as greywings.
