Default I've never asked about Jay's mutation

I was just curious. I was writing down some things the other day and I have all the birds mutations, except Jay's (and Sage's) and I realised I never asked about it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I know he's recessive pied and probably a yellow face type 2 I'd guess.

I think your Jay is in fact a sky blue yellow face type II double factor dominant pied budgie. The body markings he has would qualify him as one at least.
It's possible he could be a combination pied budgie (mix of dominant and recessive pied) if he ends up by not developing the irises on his eyes.

Your Sage is a dark green normal budgie.

OMG, I know nothing about mutations!!! lol!! It's just as well I don't want to be a breeder as I'd never get anything right!
Thank you aluz. I do think he has black eyes still but I'll have to have a close look tomorrow to see. I often over look his mutation as it's just kinda creamy yellowy white but when I was photographing him today I was admiring how beautiful he really is.

No matter what his mutation is called - I would just call it "Beautiful" (Of course, that is why I know next to nothing about mutations)

I love knowing even though I can't remember them afterwards (hence me writing it down in my book). I'm more like 'pretty bird... want!' but it's nice to know for reasons.

Aluz has answered your question perfectly, all that remains to be said is that Jay is just stunning and I love him to bits I think that if I had to choose between your beautiful flock only one budgie, it would be Jay. But also Skye. And to be honest, Star. No, but Jake is cute too. And Sage! Sunny is such a darling, can't forget her! And Josie, of course. Jimmy too, the dear.

Wait--that's all of them

I am incorrigible But it's not my fault your flock is so beautiful!

They all have such different little things I adore about them that I just can't...
I mean, Jimmy is my brave baby who has had such a horrid time with SFM and he was always so gentle when I had to treat him. And Jay was Jimmy's best friend and they snuggled together on a swing at night and it was the best thing ever! I mean, EVER!!! And now they are both such good boy birds to their female partners.
Sunny has her poorly toe but she is clearly a housewife of a bird. If she were human, she'd be the stay at home wife and mother who was perfect (except one little toe that no one could ever see) and probably home schooled the kids too.
Sage is just chill. She's the boss of all the birds. She knows what she wants and no one will change her mind. She doesn't let Jay call the shots. She's big boss bird and they all know it.
My little Skye is just so beautiful. And when he tilts his little head and looks at me, I remember the way he looked at me in the pet shop with no fear or worry, just curious. My first little boy to bravely come over to me, and bought the others with him as he came!
And then little Jake. Calm Jake, who two or three days into a new home, stepped onto my hand to let me get him back in his cage. For some reason grey was never in my mind with budgies but when I finally laid eyes on him in the pet store, I knew he was the one.
And my little baby girls.
Josie, the boss of the two, has the fluffiest bum of all fluffy bums. And Star has the most distinct little chirp. When she chirps, you know it's hers. It's not something that's changed to be wary of, she's always chirped this way. It's incredibly endearing.

So yeah, I guess I love them all too, for lots of reasons!
