Default What is her mutation?

Hello again folks of TB.

I've become curious as to what mutation my new little lady is. Here is some pictures taken in natural light and with no flash.

I'm not sure how well it comes across, but she has a yellow face, yellow on the main part on her wings (but her long wing feathers are white), although the band on her tummy is white and she is white behind the thumb patch on the back of her head. Help is appreciated

I think your little lady is a grey yellow face type II dominant pied spangle budgie.

Your little girl is lovely! What have you named her?

I do want to mention that her beak looks fairly long in the pictures you've posted. Have you had her in to your Avian Vet for a check-up yet? If not, I would suggest you do so. The Avian Vet can trim her beak if s/he thinks it is appropriate and ensure she doesn't have any underlying health issues.

Avian Vets have special training to determine the cause of symptoms resulting from illness or trauma.
When you rely on anyone who has not had training in Avian diagnosis and care, you may be delaying effective treatment. This can prolong suffering that may be avoidable.
The bird will often require a more intense, prolonged treatment with a poorer chance of full recover than it would have if you seek prompt professional diagnosis and treatment at the first sign of illness.

Having your new budgie examined by an Avian Vet allows you to develop a good relationship with the vet in case your bird needs care for an injury or illness in the future. Additionally, it is always helpful for the vet to have a baseline for your bird to refer to should it need future treatment.

Thank you all.

She has not yet seen a vet but she is booked for an appointment before she gets to meet Arashi. I noticed that her beak is a little long too, but she eats, plays and drinks fine so I'll have the vet check it when we go.

I've decided to name her Asatsuyu, or Suyu for short.

Does she look blue at all in person? Because a grey can be confused with a Mauve Violet pretty easily.

No, she doesn't appear blue at all in person. If anything, there's a little green tinge on the grey on her tummy, which I assume if from the yellow blending in a bit?

Arashi is mauve and probably violet and there's a clear difference there (in person).

I agree that she is grey as her cheek patches are a dark grey rather than violet blue.
