Default Rubbles mutation

Hi I read and read trying to understand mutations but it is a minefield to me. I read many of these posts in awe of you mutation experts!

Can anyone confirm Rubbles mutations please

Your Rubbles is a gorgeous dark green greywing budgie!

Randy, my budgies Tito Junior and Luigi on my signature pic are light green greywings, notice their green shade is lighter than Rubbles on the pics taken in natural lighting. The first and last pics of Rubbles were taken with a flash, making the colour brighter than it really is.

You're very welcome! Now it would be funny if Rubbles turned out being a full body colour greywing and our guess wouldn't be as accurate.
Judging by the colour on the cheek patches, he does look like a greywing to me.

I adore his little cheek patches. My pet name for him is blue cheeks. Funny how we band our pets then give them an endearing pet name (or is that just me?) ha ha

Thanks for your help

Haha, Ana, I actually do think he's a full body greywing budgie

I could be wrong but the body colour is very strong for being just greywing.

Either way, his shade of green is just stunning and I agree with dark green and some type of greywing

I did see the body colour is dark, but the cheek patches are lighter in colour and present on a typical greywing. Maybe he is olive instead of dark green and may have some colour adding mixed in, like violet maybe?

I was thinking maybe violet, too, actually, because of his particular shade of green and the way he looks with flash vs. in normal light. I do agree that the cheek patches are strange for such a dark budgie, but if he has such a dark body colour while still being a greywing I think he must be dark green, sf violet. Does he look like an olive to you, if that's a possibility?

He doesn't look olive to me, but his body colour also looks too dark for a just a greywing (little to no dilution at all if he's dark green), so the olive colour could have been diluted by the greywing trait, that's the only explanation I can get.

Unless he is a dark green full body colour grewying who happens to have much lighter coloured cheek patches.
