Red face wow i am blind

Recessive pied

I thought I saw the pied markings on his siblings when they were babies, BUT with them looking just like Belle (light green) it was hard to tell So i didn't pay it no more attention

Then while we were in last night deciding who is going to be bred to who out of the babies from last season (almost all of them are getting near a year or a little over now)

I noticed Baily has a tiny white speck on the back of his head

He is a Grey- Grey wing (say that 10 times fast lol)

His dad Is Angel, Mom is Belle I'll put pics of them as well

now i was told Angle looked to be carrying another gene other then being Dominate Pied - but no one could really tell (he doesn't photograph well)

And if it is he was carrying Recessive pied I reckon that would explain the huge lack of Wing Markings and body color

From his back view - he could pass for a recessive pied - but Then you see his front and he had a bit of color up around the neck /chest area (which everything says recessive pieds Don't have that.)

So Since I bred Belle to Sky last (Sky is Normal sky blue split for cinnamon and Opaline) and NONE of those babies came out with the Pied thumb print on their heads, I am Assuming Baily got his recessive pied gene from Angel

So here is Angel & Belle

Here is one of their babies - If you look closely at the back of the head you can see a Light yellow "pied Thumb print" - other then that it looks identical to Belle NO pied markings on the front what so ever

and Baily when he was just a Baby - he has the "pied thumb print" and i didn't notice it

Here is their Youngest baby they had and he/she had the BIGGEST Pied marking of them all, and that i have ever seen

and here is the best shot i can get so far of Baily (its recent but not todays I tried for 10 mins he wouldn't turn around then when he did a swing was in the way, or another bird was in the way or cage bars were in the way. LOL)

this one is from today - he's 8 months old almost 9 months old - Looking all Manly - But its a good shot to show he has NO pied markings

oh and his win pattern goes all the way down his wings into the flight feathers just like a "normal" wing pattern - so i know he's not a clear flight pied either

so my question after all my blubbering - Is - would I be correct in thinking Baily got the Recessive pied From Angle? and he is actually split to recessive pied?

I am in a flurry of all the genetic info you just threw at me. So the only possible helpful and probably not info I can offer is Tommy looks like a completely normal olive green male. He has maybe 2-3 feathers on his head where a print would be and he is split to a RP as evidence by the babies.

So, now I will leave you to get info from people who actually know what they are talking about
