Question Can a Violet be a YF type 2?

So Zoey is now 11 months old and we noticed the other night her yellow face runs into her chest (it wasn't like that when she was younger)

I tried tonight to get pics of her, but her colors never come out right and you can't tell in any of them (at least i can't) that the yellow is running through her chest.

She is a Yellow Face Violet Cinnamon

a few other odd things I noticed with her tonight

she has green running through her wings - almost a Jade green

she has Greyish purple tail feathers, with some yellow

But here are a few pictures I took of her tonight - She is actually violet - she actually is only about 2 shades Lighter then the cage she is in!

Her tail is a bit messed up because of how she sleeps (you'll notice why in the next pic)

This is how she spends 99 % of her time and it is how she sleeps all the time

This was the prefect shot showing the yellow running through her chest - too bad the camera doesn't pick it up

So now i'm trying to figure out if she is a Type 1 yellow face or a Type 2 , Jessie Zoey's sister (Jessie is 5 days older) is a yellow face violet opaline, I do not notice yellow running through her chest.

Any clue's on Zoey?

I'm not sure... Any yellow bleeding into the body, and through the wings, (hers are turning green as she is Opaline and has blue through her wings already) means Yellowface2, as far as I know. But it would have been there since she had her first moult, are you sure this is recent or did you just notice?
My bird I have is a Double Factor Goldenface, and has the same amount of yellow through the body, and she is just over 2 years old. I can't see from those pictures, is her face a light yellow or a bright gold? (buttercup yellow, as it has been described to me before)

her face is sort of 2 toned the bottom part is deeper yellow then the top part

as much as I stare at them i should of noticed it if it happened earlier - and we just noticed it last night but they've all been having a major molt

I've swept up enough feathers just from around the budgies cage in the last few days to stuff about 3-4 full sized pillows comfortably LOL

Specially my lutino Sunny he's having his heavy molt, and i know its him because he is my only pure yellow budgie - so its easy to tell when he molts and how bad it is

if its warmer tom. i'm going to offer them baths and a shower, and maybe she'll be in a better mood and i can get some better pics in the day time

Some type 1 yellow face budgies do have a very small amount of yellow bleeding, it is regarded by breeders as a show fault

oh ok,

what would make the Green tinge color (it didn't show up to well in the pics but it looks close to jade green) going through her wings? is that part of the cinnamon and i just never noticed it on my other cinnamon's? or is it because she's violet cinnamon and well they're not lol

The green through her wings is because she is Opaline and has blue through her wings already..now yellow is spreading through the blue..I think that's what your asking lol, if it isn't sorry. The shade is beause of her colour, a Violet Cinnamon.

Nev has it right. All yellowfaces no matter what type have what is known as genetic variance. The same gene expresses itself slightly differently in every bird. So one yellowface might be slightly brighter than the next. Some YF1's have only yellow heads, some have a few patches of yellow bleeding into the body. As nev said, this is regarded a 'show fault' as the 'typical' gene should be confined to producing yellow in a certain area or way.
