Default Is this considered a rainbow

I'm looking for a rainbow budgie and was wondering if this is considered one?

From what I can see in the photos, your female is a sky blue golden face opaline budgie.

Hello and to the forums!

If you tell us where you're located, we may be able to help. Is there any particular reason your budgie has to be male?

Also, while you're here, you should read through the stickies and important articles at the top of each forum to be sure you're up-to-date on the best way to take care of budgies

Do you currently have any? If so, we'd love to meet them!

If you have any questions after reading through everything, be sure to ask as we'd love to help

Hope to see you around!

Yes I have a female budgie. Her name is Indigo. I would like a male, rainbow. Maybe someday I might breed the 2. I do have a lot of experience in hand feding babies. I have helped a local breeder out with many different types of birds. I don't have experience in what exactly all the colors are and mean.I live in Wisconsin.

She is a violet of some sort

She's beautiful! I would say she's a cobalt single factor violet opaline

What a darling little girl!

I don't immediately know any budgie breeders in Wisconsin, but perhaps one of our other members will have some suggestions?

The link provided by Chirper is a wonderful resource for learning mutations, Lindsey has an informative identification guide for all mutations on her site!

What part of Wisconsin are you in? I'm in northern Illinois, so if you're in southern Wisconsin, I may know a breeder who could help you, or at least might know someone who could.

I live in the Milwaukee county area. If you know somebody in northern Illinois that has a rainbow that would be great. Thank you
