Question Bly's mutation?

Here are some pics of my budgie Bly.I can see opaline & spangle?
He also doesn't appear to have cheek patches or the spots?

Nev, how can you tell when a Spangle is Opaline or not, especially if it has colour through the wings etc? I just don't know of any way to tell lol.
By the way, Katray90, your bird is gorgeous!! Violet Spangle, seeing as he isn't Opaline.

The flecks of body colour that this bird has showing in it's wings is called opalesence and the colour showing on the back of the head is quite common in spangles. An opaline has a different wing pattern and the markings on the head and neck are faint or sometimes not there at all. I agree this bird is gorgeous

I agree cobalt spangle. He is very nice.

Nev, Could he be violet? The color looks really strong and violet like to me.
