Light eye color mutation

I am just wondering is there a gene that causes the light gray coloration of the iris. I think budgies with lighter eyes are beautiful. I have looked at my budgies eyes and some have medium gray eyes but none of them have the bright gray coloration. Is there a color mutation that this coloration of the iris comes with? I have seen pieds and lighter budgies with this eye color.

Everything comes down to genetics but I haven't noticed that grey eyes go with any particular mutation

Ok thanks for the info.

I'm pretty sure that all budgies develop a lighter gray iris color with age. The iris goes from black to dark gray and continues to lighten over the years.
