Question Colors (recessive vs. dominant)

I'm trying to learn more about breeding for color. I would like to know what color/patterns are recessive and what ones are dominant? Do punnett squares work on budgie colors? Can you explaine sex-linked genes to please.

i am no expert in colors n mutations but this is a site ericka (enicol6) directed me to. great site with info on all colors and mutations. plus it has a link for genetics on each color/mutation. very helpful n informative.

I have never given away my site I look to for genetic help with before, but I guess it's time to share There is a man named Barrie Shutt, who is an Excellent Budgie Breeder and Judge from the UK. His site HERE is what I look to for any questions I may have. He has EVERYTHING! LOL.

This is his page for descriptions of Mutations HERE and this is his page for What to Expect with Mutations When Breeding HERE . This is where MOST of my Knowledge has come from with the extra added help from our lovely Nev .
