Default Confirming Mutation

Hey guys, just curious on my budgie mutations :3 I believe the male Cobalt is a sky blue normal budgie? And the female Cloud a clearwing? Photos are taken at natural light, although it was tad bit Cloud-y

Is there any possibility at all that they are blood related in any way because I did get them from a petshop (Yeah, I know I should've looked for a breeder).

And although I am not planning to breed them anytime soon, what will their chicks possibly look like?

Many thanks!

The budgie on the first picture (male) is a sky blue dominant pied budgie.
On the second photo the bird closest to the camera (female) is a sky blue spangle budgie.

Yes, it certainly is possible for them to be related, they could even be clutch siblings, they seem to be about the same age. And in cases like this one, it's best to not risk breeding.

With this pairing you would have all white based, blue series chicks, since both of them are sky blue in colour, so would be the chicks.
Since both dominant pied and spangle are dominant genes, you can have both dominant pieds, spangles and normal budgies.
Depending on what your budgies may hiding, you could have some surprises.

Beautiful budgies there . In the 3rd pic, the shade of blue looks the same on these two birds, but in the last pic, their shades of blue look different from each other.

Aluz and StarlingWings are among the best on the forum to tell you about mutations, however, I'd like to ask them about this color difference I see. If they are both sky blue, can it be just the lighting in the last pic, making the spangle look more cobalt? Also in the 2nd pic the spangle appears to have a darker rump than sky blue? The spangle does look sky in the 3rd pic.

Julie, that's very true, and I noticed that as well. However, the shades of blue are close enough that this small difference (only seen when the light is at a certain angle) isn't enough to classify as cobalt vs. sky blue. Just like variations in hair colour with humans, feathers can have slightly different shades without being a different mutation.

In the last picture, you can see that they look very different, I'm not entirely sure if that is enough to make them different mutations, however.
